Gutters
are connected to the downspouts with elbows. Elbows are custom made
in different angles. The angles range from 30 degree's to 90 degree's.
Profiles of the elbows depend on the style of downspouts you choose
to install. The elbows connect to the gutter in two ways. The best way
is using the x-ing method made from the actual gutter. Mark the downspout
location in the bottom of the gutter. Next, you simply cut a x-shape
to the size of downspout you are using. Then fold the tabs down at 90
degrees, this gives you something to attach the elbow too. The other
method is using a outlet. We only use outlets in the Halfround gutter
and on B-swing downspouts. You must seal the outlets because they will
leak around the edges. When x-ing the gutter for tabs only web the four
corners.
(See
diagram below to decide what you want to install.)
Seamless
Offsets
"The
best choice when it comes to downspouts"
Offsets connect the gutter and downspouts together and move the water
away from the roofs edge and house's foundation. If you look at other
gutter systems near you and focus on the gutter component that connects
the gutters and downspout together you will find they leak and look nasty
all the time. Rain Line has the ability to eliminate this problem by installing
seamless offsets.
We can manufacture 90,75,60,45,or 30 degree seamless elbow offsets. They
are made from the same material as the downspouts.
Seamless offsets are the best way to eliminate those unsightly
three pieced elbows on top of your downspouts for a better gutter and
downspout system. When two elbows are put together it leaves margin
for leaking. Remember the more seams in a gutter system the more likely
there can be leaking.
